FieldProof wasn't dreamed up in a Silicon Valley boardroom. It was built by a code enforcement professional who was sick of spending more time fighting paperwork than inspecting properties.
The Origin
For years, our founder walked properties with a clipboard, a digital camera, and a notebook. After an inspection, it meant driving back to the office, downloading photos via SD card, re-typing handwritten notes, manually matching photos to code violations, and wrestling with Word documents to build a report.
It was inefficient, error-prone, and soul-crushing. There had to be a better way to enforce the code.
A Tool, Not a Toy
We looked at existing software. It was either generic checklist apps that didn't understand building codes, or massive municipal ERP systems that took years to implement and felt like they were designed in the 1990s.
We wanted a tool that felt like a superpower. Something fast, modern, and intelligent.

Our mission is simple: to make inspections faster, more accurate, and easier to document and review. We believe that technology should handle the rote documentation, so inspectors can use their expertise to ensure safe, compliant communities.
